A Montserrat Pilgrimage is an intentional time away spent actively engaging in your faith and spiritual journey. During Montserrat, participants will explore their faith in new cultural and historical contexts, participate in daily prayer opportunities, and engage in nightly spiritual reflection.
Summer 2025 Pilgrimages
The Ignatian Way (Northern Spain & Rome):
Deepen your faith through engaging in Jesuit spirituality at the sites that informed St. Ignatius’s own faith journey. This pilgrimage will feature the sacred sites of St. Ignatius and the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). We will begin at St. Ignatius's home, where his own life began, and travel through the impactful places and spaces for St. Ignatius. This pilgrimage will end in Rome and join the global church in Pope Francis's Jubilee for Youth and Young Adults.
The Ecumenical Way (Dublin & Northern Ireland):
Explore your faith through engaging with the work of justice, reconciliation, and repair in relation to the history and legacy of the Troubles. This ecumenical offering will explore the complexities of both the Catholic and Protestant sides of the conflict, the intersections of faith and political identity, and how our faith is informed by the past. Montserrat Ecumenical has the option to join in the Jubilee for Youth and Young Adults for an additional fee.

Montserrat Pilgrimages is named for Our Lady of Montserrat because of her importance to the life of St. Ignatius. He stood before the Blessed Mother, the Black Madonna, Our Lady of Montserrat and here he surrendered his sword and picked up a pilgrim staff. This moment signifies one of choice in the spiritual life. Giving up the symbol of his old life, laying it at the foot of our Lady, was a choice he made. And from there, a new life took root. Montserrat Pilgrimages are an invitation and a choice to deepen and explore your own faith and spirituality through global travel.
