During the experience of making the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the retreatant is introduced to various forms of prayer and reflection. Some of these spiritual practices include the Awareness Examen, praying with scripture, considerations, writing in a spiritual journal, speaking with the retreat director about one's experience of prayer, spiritual reading, and several other practices. The Center for Ignatian Spirituality encourages faculty and staff in these and other helpful habits as ways to nurture and deepen their relationship with God, neighbor, and self.
