The Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice is an annual gathering of Jesuit High Schools, Universities, and organizations centered on advocacy and seeking to live lives that promote justice. The Teach-In is a space for prophetic voices for solidarity with the economically poor, the marginalized, and the Earth who have an openness to an Ignatian approach to faith and justice. IFTJ is a place for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit institutions and larger church) to be empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked. Now in its 29th year, IFTJ has a rich history rooted in honoring the Jesuits and their companions who were martyred in El Salvador in 1989.

- IFTJ Time Commitment:
- Mandatory 3 Pre-Trip Formation Meetings: 10/23, 10/30, 11/6 from 12-1:30 PM
- Weekend travel to Washington DC: Leaving in the morning 11/13, returning late Monday 11/16 (Please note this may mean you miss a Friday and/or Monday class if you have one)
- IFTJ Follow up advocacy project on campus

- Dynamic speakers
- Emphases on learning about and advocating for racial justice, migration, environmental justice, restorative justice, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
- A day of advocacy on Capitol Hill in DC

$200 - This program fee includes flights, conference fees, hotel accommodations, breakfast, and dinner. This program fee is non-refundable.
Scholarships are available upon request.
