Fr. Dorian Llywelyn, S.J.
Director for the Center for Ignatian Spirituality
Fr. Dorian Llywelyn, SJ is a member of the Western USA province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). He holds degrees in English and theology from universities in Europe and the USA and earned his PhD from the University of Wales. From 2003-2016 he was a member of LMU’s Department of Theological Studies, teaching courses in faith and culture and also directing the Huffington Ecumenical Institute and the minor in Catholic Studies, with particular emphasis on ecumenical and inter-religious relations. He has taught and worked at Jesuit, private and public universities in the USA and UK, including Stanford and the University of London. He is the author of two academic books and many academic and popular articles.
He led the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education at Santa Clara University and served as SCU’s mission officer 2016-20, and was president of the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of California 2020-22.
Fr. Llywelyn is a native of Wales, and has lived and worked in eight countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. He speaks eight languages, including Spanish. His practical work outside academia includes six years in the UK Peace Corps, ministry to the incarcerated and people experienced homelessness, media work in English, Spanish and Welsh, as well as many years of providing spiritual direction and retreat giving for a wide range of individuals and groups.

Eva Cruz-Aedo
Senior Administrative Coordinator
Eva (Vajda) Cruz-Aedo, an alumna of LMU, has over 20 years of non-profit and corporate experience working with teams in executing complex administrative solutions.
She received her B.A. with a major in European Studies and a minor in French. After working in the international divisions of Karsten Manufacturing Corporation and Showscan Entertainment, and working abroad in Switzerland and Belgium, she returned to work at LMU as the Study Abroad Coordinator for nine years. Later she made the decision to work as Administrator and Events Coordinator for Riviera United Methodist Church which enabled her to focus on raising her two children with her fellow alumnus husband Carlos Cruz-Aedo.
Eva is excited to be working for the Division of Mission and Ministry and the Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and to be returning to the LMU Community. Since returning, she has earned her certificate in Pastoral Care through LMU's Center for Religion and Spirituality.
