Lecture Abstract

On September 17, the Academy of Catholic Thought and Imagination and the Center for Urban Resilience is holding a roundtable discussion focused on Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ new environmental encyclical.   Since this groundbreaking document is addressed not just to Catholics but to the greater human community, we will have panelists representing science, environmental ethics, economics, philosophy and a non-Catholic religious perspective with a conversation following moderated by Fr. Tom Rausch, S.J. This interdisciplinary panel will be an opportunity for faculty and students alike to have a spirited discussion on the impact of ecology and faith on various disciplines.
