 NAOMI KLEIN is an award-winning journalist, syndicated columnist and author of the New York Times and #1 international bestseller, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism. Published worldwide in 2007, The Shock Doctrine is being published in 30 languages and has over a million copies in print. It appeared on multiple ‘best of year’ lists including as a New York Times Critics’ Pick of the Year. Her critically acclaimed new book, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs the Climate, is the 2014 winner of the prestigious Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction. In July of 2015, Naomi Klein was invited by the Vatican to present at the high-level conference, "People and planet first: the imperative to change course" organized by the Pontifical Council "Justice and "Peace" and CIDSE, an international network of Catholic non-governmental development organizations.  She presented alongside Cardinal Kodwo Appiah Turkson, president of the Pontifical Council of Justice and Peace, and Fr. Sean McDonagh, SSC among others.
