Prayers for the LMU Community on the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary
On this beautiful feast of the patron of the universal church, we Sisters of St. Joseph assure you all of our heartfelt prayers. May St. Joseph, who so cared for Mary and Jesus, watch over and protect you and all those you love.
Through the steadfast love and protection of St. Joseph, let us pray for each other as a community of Lions, and reach out to those most in need, especially our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. May the people of Ukraine know the merciful and unconditional love of God who stands with all those who are most vulnerable. May we always stand together with those suffering in our world and continue to pray for peace and justice.
Discovery
I journeyed within
Searching for a symbol of justice
That would speak to me of peace.
And I found to my surprise,
A refugee, a campesino,
A person poor, simple and quite silent:
One who dreamed dreams – and believed
Who responded to the call – and hoped
Who was led into darkness – and loved.
I found Joseph, called just
And the summons, live peace.
