Manresa Moments: Week of April 5

Manresa Moments: Holy Week

This week, the Catholic Church observes Holy Week: the name given to the days from Palm Sunday, marking the Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem, through Holy Saturday, the day before the celebration of Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Holy Week, like all the season of Lent, is a time of waiting. In the days between the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection, his disciples were faced with grief, uncertainty, and anxiety, hiding in isolation in fear for their lives and livelihoods. During this Holy Week, we too journey in a time of loss, separation, and many questions about the future. May we enter into the mystery of waiting for light and new life with trust and hope.
