There are some indoor and outdoor places at LMU which community members of the university have identified as especially apt for engendering peace of mind and heart.
The iconic Sacred Heart Chapel contains a beautiful collection of stained glass windows that follow the norms of 12th Century glass-making and symbolism. The website dedicated to these windows in Sacred Heart Chapel includes virtual views of the interior and individual pages with descriptions and high-definition images of each window. The link to access the website is on the bottom left of the home page.
A few other buildings are fine places for spending time in private reflection or prayer. The link is found with Graceful Places.
Several locations along the perimeter of the bluff offer expansive views while other places are more interior and provide opportunities for quiet reflection and a sense of privacy. These are accessed through the Peaceful Sites link on the home page.
The History of LMU, is a video presentation which includes story-telling about some of the university's values and ideals. Although the video is not a place, is is a graceful site for those whose own values and ideals are affirmed in the viewing.
