About the Chaplain

Two sessions for Faculty and Staff about Discernment

Wood Planks leading to Ocean

Ignatian Discernment: The Art of Noticing – Thursday, September 25th from 11am to 12pm (HR Training Room)

Before making decisions, many of us find it essential to first notice the kind and quality of our internal movements—those subtle influences that shape our choices. Fr. Randy Roche will guide this session of shared reflections upon our experiences to help us become more consciously aware of these movements.

This session serves as helpful preparation for the upcoming “Art of Deciding,” but attendance at both is not required.

Ignatian Discernment: The Art of Deciding – Tuesday, October 7th from 11am to 12pm (HR Training Room)

As our responsibilities grow, so does the need for thoughtful decision-making. Fr. Randy Roche, SJ, will lead this session based on Ignatian guidelines for discernment, helping participants recognize how interior movements—like peace or unrest—can shape wise decisions.

To register for either or both sessions, contact Fr. Randy Roche at rroche@lmu.edu or (310) 338-8695 (x88695).
