Fr. Randall Roche, S.J., University Chaplain

Father Randy Roche was the Director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality at LMU for 20 years, having become University Chaplain in 2023. He has an M.A. in Theology from Santa Clara University, and an M.S. in Counseling from San Diego State. He has served as LMU Director of Campus Ministry, Rector of the Jesuit Community at Jesuit High School in  Sacramento, Director of Studies and Spiritual Director at the Jesuit Novitiate, and as Pastor, Superior, and Director of Diocesan Campus Ministry at the Newman Center in Honolulu. 

Throughout his years of ministry, he has continuously deepened his own experience of the Ignatian Spirituality while also acting as a mentor, counselor, and also as a guide for lay people and religious who engage in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. His specialty is making available Ignatian discernment in contemporary terms as a tool for decision-making .
