Fr. David Romero, S.J.
Born and raised in southern California, Fr. David attended Loyola Marymount University out of a desire to pursue acting in a sitcom. God had other ideas! Fr. David met the Jesuits at LMU and became more involved with Campus Ministry and the Center for Service and Action. These opportunities to live a life of faith and justice led him to study abroad as a junior in El Salvador, which deepened his discernment to enter the Jesuits after graduating with a bachelor's degree in theological studies.
After professing his First Vows, he studied philosophy at Fordham University in New York, and then worked for one year with a study abroad program in Manila, Philippines, and for two years teaching religion at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, CA. He completed a Master of Divinity degree from Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, and was ordained a priest in 2020. He currently serves with Christus Ministries, which empowers young adults (people in their 20s & 30s) and parishes to grow spiritually, change lives, and transform communities.
