Faculty Staff Immersion

May 2027

2026 Faculty/Staff Immersion

Location: Mexico (Mexico City and Cuernavaca)

Dates: Tuesday, May 18 - Monday, May 24, 2027

Join the Center for Mission and Identity as we explore questions of colonialism and post-colonialism, migration and globalization, and faith and justice in the Mexican context. Our program itinerary will include engagements in and around Mexico City and Cuernavaca as we learn about the history and current realities of this region and consider them in light of our own context in the United States and at LMU.

Program costs are fully sponsored by the Office of Mission Engagement (including travel, all meals and single accommodations, programming, and comprehensive facilitation and assistance). All participants are required to attend four preparatory gatherings during the spring 2027 semester, as well as the full program itinerary from orientation to close.

Questions about the 2027 immersion or the program in general? See our Immersion FAQs or contact Kat Brown, Executive Director of the Office of Mission Engagement, at Katherine.Brown@lmu.edu.
