Since 1985, LMU De Colores weekends have always sought to provide an opportunity for authentic encounters with self, others, and God.

Apply to be part of this virtual delegation to Tijuana, Mexico. Join us for a few hours each day (with breaks in between) for intentional conversations around community, solidarity, immigration, and accompaniment.

Our group will learn about some of the realities of migration during the COVID-19 pandemic from a representative at Casa Del Migrante, an organization that provides basic human services to deportees, displaced persons, migrants in transit, or refugees. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to hear stories of resilience from our community partners, including leaders who serve hundreds of their neighbors each week through a variety of educational and vocational classes organized at the El Florido IV community center.

Throughout the weekend, conversations will be facilitated in a safe space where our group will be invited to reflect on what they have experienced.

All undergraduate students from all walks of life are invited to apply. For more information, please email JP Ramirez at johnpaul.ramirez@lmu.edu or visit mission.lmu.edu/ministry/servicejustice/decolores/.
