Service Retreat

This year's annual Fall Service Retreat "Broken and Shared" has passed and was awesome! Please stay tuned for next year's retreat taking place Oct. 8-10, 2020.

2017 Service Retreat
Students visiting and serving at the Union Rescue Mission in Downtown Los Angeles.

LMU Campus Ministry, in collaboration with LMU's Center for Service and Action, hosts this annual immersion experience.

This retreat is a combination of direct service and engaged learning about issues surrounding homelessness on Skid Row, a well-known area near Downtown Los Angeles with one of the largest homeless populations in the United States.

Throughout the weekend, students will help serve and share meals with clients at local non-profit organizations, speak with community leaders and participate in group reflections to reflect on their experience. The Midnight Mission & St. Vincent De Paul Cardinal Manning Center will provide secure sleeping arrangements for all retreat participants.

How to Attend

Any LMU undergraduate student may attend by applying for individual spots. The application will be available Sep. 2020.

If you have any questions, please contact John Paul Ramirez, Campus Minister for Regional Service at johnpaul.ramirez@lmu.edu.
