VITA - Respect Life Student Group

VITA is the Latin word for life. Our group holds that every human life is sacred, and as such, the life and dignity of every human person is to be respected and protected. We seek to show others that every life is worth living and that most Justice issues are Life issues: Poverty, Homelessness, Immigration/Migration, Beginning and End of life care, War/Violence, etc. Join us for special programming and attendance at events such as, One Life: LA Walk For Life.

"The right to life means allowing people to live and not killing, allowing them to grow, to eat, to be educated, to be healed, and to be permitted to die with dignity." Pope Francis (Speech, Aparecida Document, 2 October 2007)

Our Prayer For Life

Dear God,
You created everything from nothing with purpose and love.
We are hungry to see the beauty of Your hand in all things and happenings.
Your Love is Your greatest gift to us.
In all things we do, in all conflicts we may face, help us to care for this and feel with more than our bodies.
Help us to magnify it so as to ensure it to be forgotten to no one.
Give us Your grace to see that we are all one and that all life is connected in Your family.
We pray to be life-giving, which cannot be separated from being love-giving.
With immense love,
Amen.
