The Center for Ignatian Spirituality ministers to faculty and staff through spiritual accompaniment, often called spiritual direction, but which can also be described as "personal trainers in spirituality."
Spiritual accompaniment is an ongoing relationship between the persons who are consciously attending to their interior spiritual experiences and the one who accompanies them. Meeting regularly, those who seek growth and understanding share their inner experiences, and the one who accompanies listens and assists in discerning the internal effects of thoughts and feelings.
