Prayer Service of the Word
November 15 | 1:00 – 2:00 pm
All are welcome at this virtual weekly prayer service based on the Sunday scripture readings, to unite in prayer as we celebrate the Liturgy of the Word and offer the LMU community’s prayers of petition. In addition, we will be remembering the Jesuit Martyrs of El Salvador on this particular Sunday, since it falls close to the date when the 6 Jesuits were assassinated along with their housekeeper and her daughter on November 16, 1989 at the University of Central America in San Salvador.
Evensong of Gratitude
November 15 | 4:00 – 5:00 pm
All undergraduate students are invited to join us in this weekly virtual prayer gathering. Come early and bring a friend for fellowship at 3:40pm, and don’t forget your candle! In addition, we will be remembering the Jesuit Martyrs of El Salvador on this particular Sunday, since it falls close to the date when the 6 Jesuits were assassinated along with their housekeeper and her daughter on November 16, 1989 at the University of Central America in San Salvador.

Justice on Tap: Racial Justice and Ignatian Heritage
Tuesday, November 17 | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
The Center for Service and Action with Student Affairs will be hosting this month's event focused on the intersections between Racial Justice and Ignatian Heritage. This event aims at putting the "social" back in "social justice," gathering students from all around campus for an evening of socializing and social justice. This is an informal, intimate, event meant to uplift important justice work going on at LMU and beyond. Speakers include students, with the topic introduced by Vice President for Mission and Ministry, Dr. John Sebastian.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18
LLS Reflective Gathering: A Conversation About Others in the Ignatian Tradition
November 18 | 5:00 – 5:15 pm
Ignatian spirituality is shared with many religious congregations, organizations, saints, blessed, and venerables. Join an informal conversation facilitated by Fr. Wayne Negrete, SJ, about some of these and please bring to the conversation those whom you would identify.
Documentary Screening: “Blood of the Martyrs”
Wednesday, November 18 | 7:00 – 8:00 PM
El Salvador, 1989: six Jesuit priests and two women were brutally murdered by US trained commandos of the Salvadoran army. After twenty-five years of conflicting stories, who is responsible? “Blood of the Martyrs” reveals the truth. The evening will include a screening of the film followed by Q&A and discussion. View a trailer for "Blood of the Martyrs" here.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19
AMDG Chat: A Meaningful Conversation
November 19 | 5:00 – 6:15 pm
What am I doing with my life? What are my passions in life? Through these AMDG chats, our hope is that you will not only learn more about St. Ignatius's life calling, the founder of the Jesuits, but also about what your own calling might be. We’ll send you a drink card for a coffee or a Jamba Juice! Come and spend some time reflecting on Ignatian values, your own values, and what a Jesuit education means to you. Register by Nov. 11 to receive your gift card and materials!

Ignatian Review of the Day
November 20 | 12:05 – 12:25 pm
Join Fr. Wayne Negrete, SJ, Chaplain of Loyola Law School and Assistant Director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality, for an opportunity to pause, reflect, and utilize the tool of the Ignatian examen. The examen offers us a practice of recalling what has happened in our external and internal experiences and how best to respond with generosity and love.
