Fr. Julian Climaco, S.J., is the Vocation Promoter for the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus. He previously served as parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish in Seattle and spent a year abroad in the Philippines completing his Tertianship, the final stage of formation for Jesuits. Prior to being ordained a priest, Fr. Climaco taught high school theology and music, volunteered at a public health clinic for undocumented immigrants, and worked with college students at Newman Hall-Holy Spirit Parish on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley. A classically trained pianist, Fr. Climaco is currently pursuing graduate studies in music and music education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.
