Saints

By 1954, when Loyola University of Los Angeles constructed Sacred Heart Chapel, twenty-six Jesuits had been designated as Saints. Their images are featured in the stained glass windows of the chapel as visual reminders of their faithful and courageous life-stories.

Brief historical and biographical notes of varying length are provided for each of the Saints. Less information is available about those whose lives as Jesuits were cut short by the circumstances of their martyrdom. But even for those about whom books have been written, the notes here are succinct summaries.
