Ramesh Vanan Aravanan is a Jesuit of the Karnataka Province and is presently applied to the Guyana Region. He entered the Society in 1999 in India, and did his initial formation there. In 2007, as part of his formation ( Regency) he came to Guyana to begin two years of work, teaching at the Marian Academy, Georgetown. Following this he moved to study theology at Heythrop College in Great Britain and Boston College. He then returned to Guyana and took up work as a parish priest for four communities in Berbice, a rice-growing area in the Eastern corner of Guyana. He also taught Psychology at the University of Guyana. Having done well in this first post-ordination mission for two and half years he is now pursuing a MFA in the Schooll of Film and Television at LMU and is a member of the Jesuit community. Upon completion of his MFA course, Ramesh will return to Guyana.
