CLC Programming

Small Groups

Students of all faith traditions and walks of life come together each week in small groups to reflect, pray, and discern where God is moving in their lives. Small groups are tight-knit communities that support each member though both the graces and challenges of college life. Ultimately, small groups are home, a place where you are free to be yourself.

Large Community Events

Every Thursday night, students are invited to gather together as the larger CLC community for an array of programming events. Thursday nights include the following rotating programs:

  • Agape Latte Speaker Series: Agape Latte invites LMU faculty and staff to share their personal faith and vocational stories with students. The series calls students to deepen their own discernment process and understanding of their personal vocation (calling). Students are treated to desserts, coffee, and an engaging talk followed by Q & A.‌‌‌‌

  • Spirituality: As an organization based in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, CLC strives to integrate Ignatian spirituality and to encourage its members to use the many tools available in the Ignatian tradition. The Awareness Examen, contemplative prayer, and discernment of spirits are only a few aspects of the rich tradition and spirituality that make up Ignatian (and CLC) prayer. Join us for prayer services, Taize, Stations of the Cross, Mass, Praise & Worship, and many other spiritual offerings.

‌

  • Service: In CLC, we believe that one of the foundational ways that we are called to live out our faith is through the service of others. As such, we offer monthly service opportunities for the CLC community to engage in. If you have a heart for service, we have a place for you!

  • Community Nights: We wouldn’t be Christian Life Community without the community! As such, we dedicate time to the building up the larger CLC community via socials. Students are invited to come bowling, go dancing, play a game, watch a movie, or simply hang out. Community nights are a fun way to connect with the CLC members that we don’t see in our weekly small groups.
